Note：最近好忙！今年不在古晉過年，這個周六飛了，下周四回來。

話説回來，這次JJ的新專輯，《學不會》（Lost & Found) 和他過往的曲風有很大的差別。在音樂上的創作與詮釋更加成熟，赤裸裸地呈現他當下的情緒，就連一些輕微細節的呼吸聲和情緒尾音都讓我聼了很感動。

所以呢，這次第一次掏錢買了這張專輯，哈哈。我下了重本，在台灣最大網站《博客來》訂購了JJ的這張專輯，版本當然要買和在馬來西亞不一樣的啦~

不多說，來聼聼他的主打歌，《學不會》。

喧囂的城市，我們以各自不同的形式，瓢流和尋找著陸，

而關於愛情，我們似乎永遠都是新手…

另外推薦一首，《不存在的情人》。憂傷中帶著無奈與寂寞。好啦，我最近都在聼一些很emo的歌，哈哈。

很喜歡裏面寫得細膩且具穿透感的文字：

「不願意被誰看穿，只剩我一個人的害怕，

不願意被誰看穿，只剩我一個人的孤單，

沒人理解的武裝，沒人懷疑的堅強。」

用最堅強的武裝來掩飾最脆弱的真實。微笑面具後面的憂傷, 在崩潰邊沿徘徊。

除了這兩首，我喜歡的還有《那些你很冒險的夢》，看吧，好多好歌，哈哈。

又emo了，今天就寫那麽多。拜拜~

p/s: 《不存在的情人》原來是青峰寫的詞，難怪第一次聼就被觸動，*偷笑*。我的“綠”毒很深啊~ ♥

今晚難得我會用華文更新我的部落格文章。

最近身邊的朋友見到我都說，“啊喲，你最近這麽啦，在瘋那個蘇打綠哦？不曾聼你說喜歡這個樂團啊。”

是的，我也不知道這麽了。自從那一件事後，我像中毒般的，無法自拔地開始在迷戀這支樂團。人生中第一次那麽熱血，那麽迫不及待地上網預購了他們最新專輯；微博上關注蘇打綠的每一個成員，每一天一定留言給他們，不管他們是否會看見。

而那一件事，我從來不成告訴過別人，直到最近，才把它說給了身邊幾個好友聼。

現在想起，我還是不明白爲何這事會這樣不可思議，不管你信不信，它還是會讓我起雞皮疙瘩。

事情是醬。。。

忘了多久以前開始，有時候我睡着時，我都會做一個夢。（認識我的朋友都知道，我是個被失眠困擾的病人，很少會有睡着的時候）。

我夢到了一個陌生的男生，他靜靜地在看書，寫信，要不然就在種花或逗他的貓咪在玩。

而這個夢，我一直重復的做著。。。

我不曾見過他，也不認識他是誰。我也很困惑爲什麽老是夢見他。

而且最氣的是，每當我走向他，想要問他 “你是誰？”，“爲何一直出現在我夢裏？”時，我就突然醒了。

多年來，我一直得不到任何答案。

多年來，我還是有著一樣的夢。

我一度認爲，我是不是遇到一些“不好”的東西了。

要不然，爲什麽那個陌生的男子，一直在我夢裏出現？

一直到大概兩個月前，我像平常一樣，躲在被窩裏，用我的手機上網在Youtube收看《康熙來了》。

當我看到那集的來賓時，我有點嚇倒了。在阿妹身邊的那個男生，怎麽跟我夢裏的那個陌生人長的幾乎一模一樣！

他的名字叫“吳青峰”，是一個臺灣樂團-蘇打綠的主唱。

我是有聼過這個蘇打綠樂團，但我不曾仔細地見過他們在報紙上的照片，更不用説聼他們任何的歌了。

我坦誠，過去幾年來，我很少留意華語樂壇的動向，除了陶喆、曹格、方大同的歌，其他的歌手，我很少會去多看一眼。

裏說當然，吳青峰是長什麽樣，我哪知道？

所以，你可以了解我當下有多震驚嗎？

那個一直在我夢裏看書、寫信、種花、逗貓的男生，既然是個真實存在的人。

《康熙來了》我只看了來賓介紹，我就停了。我馬上Google“吳青峰”這個人。

我所獲得的資料，讓我感到更驚訝，吳青峰在空閒時，真的是在看書、寫信、種花、逗貓。

我傻眼了。爲什麽會這麽奇怪？我夢到這世上另一個人在做的事情，而我卻不曾見過他。

*雞皮疙瘩-ing*

結果接下來的幾天，我都在搜尋關於吳青峰和蘇打綠，第一次聼他們的音樂，也開始慢慢接受我那個離奇的夢。

蘇打綠的歌，有種讓我莫名感動的感覺。

聼著他們的歌時，我會不由自主的點點頭，好像在認同他們對人、事、物的看法。

我人生中第一次上網預購歌手的最新專輯，就給了蘇打綠《你在煩惱什麽》。

在臺灣網站，“博客來” 10月18日預購了《你在煩惱什麽》。

11月11日發行，我等了幾天，在11月15日收到啦。
開心+興奮慘了。

Love My September

I know! This is an super-overdue post that I kept as draft since September and just have the time to publish it now.

September is a month which I reach one of my personal goal. I brought my parents to travel to places other than Kuching. All the accommodation, flight tickets, food and beverages are paid by me for my parents. They will just need to board on the plane and enjoy themselves.

Well, there is a reason I chose to bring them to Kota Kinabalu. I remember when I'm in Primary 6, my dad travelled to Kota Kinabalu on a church trip and he said that the island near Kota Kinabalu is a beautiful place. He said he wish to bring us to go one day. Unfortunately, my family faced financial crisis the following years and travel become something luxury to us. I secretly told myself that time, when I am working one day, I must bring my parents to that place.

And I made it! *Happy*

And guess what? We brought baby Tiffany with us. My aunt (Tiffany's grandma), my cousin Agnes and Elvin also join my family for the trip =)

The Green Connection
Many people do not aware of this awesome place to visit.
It is place of conservation of aquatic organism in Kota Kinabalu established on May 2009.

Tiffany is so happy to actually see a sea turtle rather than watch it on TV.

On my left and right are actually big connected tanks with different species of fish living in it.

At the center, you are most welcome to interact with the creature there.
Picture shown two horseshoe crabs.
They are in love with each other so much.
The smaller male cling on the larger female and they never separate for more than 1 years.
No, they are not having sex.
According to the staff there, horseshoe crab will only reproduce when they see full moon.

I got the chance to hold a blue star fish.
I was afraid it might bite at first, lol.
Feel like u are holding a sponge.

Another type of star fish, the bread star fish.

A giant coconut crab. It can rip apart the shell of coconut easily!

Present to you my favourite creature at the center.
let's meet "Gangster" the overweight green sea turtle.

He is so photogenic!
In the tank we still have stingray the gentleman and shark the shy guy and many other species of fish.

As you all know, the tentacles of sea anemone is poisonous.
The officer explain to us that, it actually took at least 1 month for a clown fish to actually live with a new sea anemone.
It take time for the clown fish to be immune to the poison of the tentacles.

My Happiest Moment

I am a working adult with currently pursuing my degree via distance learning. Life couldn't be more hectic when all the workload, assignment and exams come at the same time. The only way to escape from this busy life will be a HOLIDAY!

I took a break from the busy life by hopping on a plane without advance planning to Johor Bahru to meet my boy friend Elvin and from there we took a bus to Malacca. Malacca is a place I had all the fun within the few days trip.

From satay celup to chicken rice ball, from cendol to Baba Laksa,
We had try so many local delights which cheer up our day.

Both of us are born in the year of Dragon, definitely will not miss the chance to take the photo with it.

Having so much fun in Malacca with my love one.

This will be my happiest moment that I wouldn't want to forget.

昨晚下了场大雨，失眠又来纠缠我，只好戴上耳机听听音乐。。。

方大同的新专辑《15》里，我好爱听里头的“好不容易”。昨晚重复听这首歌，很喜欢大同的音乐曲风。

这首歌让我想了很多东西，蛮有感触。。。。。。

S.O.X. All-Stars Hoops' 11 (Eastern Conference - Kuching)

I was invited to Celcom S.O.X. All-Stars Hoops' 11 for the Eastern Conference in M.B.K.S. Indoor Stadium Kuching on 3rd of July 2011. It was an amazing and fun event full with skills and actions!

So, what is Celcom S.O.X. All-Stars Hoops all about? Celcom S.O.X. All-Stars Hoops is a 5-on-5 basketball tournament with teams from different schools in Malaysia competing for the title of champion. Well, if you missed last year S.O.X. All-Stars Hoops event, below are some photos for you.

For 2011, S.O.X All-Stars Hoops will go on a nationwide search for the best basketball team. With four qualifiers in the Central, Southern, Northern and East Malaysia regions, this year’s competition will be stiffer. This is especially because of the awesome cash prizes.

For this year’s competition, the champion team will walk away with RM5,000 while the first runner up and the second runner up will get RM3,000 and RM2,000 respectively. The third runner up gets a cool RM500.

We’ll also have special skill challenges like the 3-POINT CHALLENGE, SKILLS CHALLENGE and ALL-STAR GAME where players can show off their skills to pick up some cool prizes! It’s gonna be just like the NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND extravaganza!

Birthday Celebration

One thing I love the most about June is my birthday! Oh come on, everyone will be excited about their birthday and so do I, lol. Let the photos explain everything =)

This year birthday, I had a surprise from my primary school classmates.
I though it was an ordinary meet up on Tuesday night but they gave me an earlier surprise.

Birthday celebration

On Thursday, 9 June, Elvin brought me to a Korean restaurant located at 3rd Mile. Both of us wuld like to give Korean food a try, haha.

Seoul Garden

Chopsticks and spoon.
I always watch in Korean drama that their spoon is long and the chopsticks are so thin.
Trust me, it's take me awhile to get used to the chopsticks.

Gimbap a.k.a. Korean rice roll
It tastes like sushi and served with soy sauce and wasabi

Sundubu Jjigae ( Korean spicy tofu soup/stew)
It comes with side dishes.
Elvin said it will not be a Korean meal if there we didn't order any soup, lol.

Basically it taste slightly spicy.
Tofu cooked in some chili powder mixed with some prawn.

Chicken bulgogi set meal. bulgogi means marinated meat usually beef in Korean.
Come with side dishes as well.
I never expect the portion is so big!

This is delicious.
Stir-fried with spring onion, ginger etc.

Fish fillet with seasoning on top + gimbap
Very delicious!

Kimchi or gimji.
Very spicy and sour.
I like the it when I first taste it but if more, I feel like vomiting, lol.
Not really suit me I guess.

Just like the one we usually have in steamboat

Korean people will drink seaweed soup on their birthday.
So do I!
but only on that day, lol.

I felt so guilty for wasting food.

At first we though that Korean meal will be expensive but it turn out it is affordable. I'll definitely go to this restaurant again to try the steamboat and BBQ, but not so soon.

Holiday Second Dose of ♥

I paid a visit to The Secret Sanctuary with Cynthia, Irene and Elvin on 2nd of June as part of my holiday relaxing trip. The place is indeed beautiful and a great place to relax and hang out. I just went there for lunch, maybe will try the facilities like swimming pool, Jacuzzi and fish spa the next time I go there.

The entrance is decorated with wooden bridge and wood craft not to forget beautiful flowers hanging in the air. The pond here are full with fishes like koi, tilapia and guppies!

Secret Sanctuary is actually a luxury boutique hotel located at Taman Stutong and is a great place to escape from the busy city life as it offers a relaxing environment.

Holiday First Dose of ♥

I love holidays! After the Chinese New Year, I'm now having my second holiday of the year which is the Gawai Holiday, off from work for 3 days! yeah, I know it's short but it's enough for me. Gonna enjoy myself to the max!

Talking about holiday, my holiday confirmed is about food! food is heaven for me! I know I know, I'm gaining lots of weight, who cares? lol

I visited Raja Ayam Penyet Kopitiam at Jalan Satok like finally! I had my craving for ayam penyet fulfilled! I went to there with Elvin and the Quiksilver-Roxy East Malaysia Region manager Hau Yong. Three of us just love this Malay food so much, willing to let our taste buds burst in hot flame for the spicy ayam penyet with the sambal. Actually I'm quite disappointed with the sambal, it taste different when Raja Ayam Penyet was still located near the Masjid Kuching.

ulam (Malay's vegetable salad) and some fried bean cake.

We also order the Raja Pisang Cheese,
which is fried banana fritter with grated cheese and condensed milk.
You must try this, super delicious!

Sales

I believed that there are still a lot of people trying to book the 10 cent flight for the Air Asia Big Sales now.

I tried to book for my cousin and her friends, but fail many times because the cheap tickets were sold out like in the blink of eyes.

Furthermore, the website is so jam! It kept on declining my card or stuck halfway with an unknown error.

So I give up finally and come to blog, lol.

Friends have been asking me where to go since there is cheap flight.

Hmm, I guess for the following two years, I wouldn't be able to travel.

I need to concentrate on finishing my Degree and earn a lot of money as possible.

Doctors already warn me not to travel too, sad case =(

So, for the coming two years, a lot of obstacles to face and battle to complete, wish me luck, will you?

p/s: I want my dream house, but it is so costly =(

Mum, I Love You

Yea, I know it's kind of late to update about the Mother's Day. I have been busy for this few days.

Anyway, back to topic, I celebrated Mother's Day with my mum and family on last Saturday. My sister and I brought our parents and Baby Tiffany to Imperial Duck Restaurant(鸭皇）to have our dinner. My parents love the premium roasted duck from that restaurant. After the dinner, we went to Sunday Market located at Satok to have a walk. It is really nice spending time with family =)

I don't like to eat duck, it is too chewy for me.

On Sunday afternoon, I drove to pick up the bouquet of carnation I booked earlier on. Well, actually I'm kind of worry that I'll be scolded by my mum because I'm afraid that buying her flowers is a waste of money.

It's my first time to really buy my mum a bouquet of flowers. I'm quite nervous when I get home, my mind is thinking what to explain if my mum scold me for buying that flowers.

I gave the bouquet of carnation to my mum while wishing her Happy Mother's Day and told her that I love her and sorry for always making her worried about me. I gave her a big and tight hug as well. Finally I have the guts to say "I Love You" to my mum face to face. I wanted to tell her that for so long but I'm always too shy to do so.

I notice that most of us are too shy to say "I Love You" to our parents. But instead, we type in out in social network. From now on, I should say "I Love You" more often to my mum and my dad. I think it's important to tell them and show our love and not just typing it in Facebook, ~~well, unless your parents are on Facebook~~ They will be very glad to hear it from you.

I love food. This few day have been eating after the Sarawak Election. I'm sure I'm gaining more weight after this, but never mind, I still love food!

Yesterday I went to Station One Cafe with Jessica to have our dinner. It was my first time having meal there. The atmosphere is fine for me and so did the food. I had a some chat with her, it has been a longtime since our last meeting!

As for this morning, I brought my mum to Boulevard's Sushi King since there is a RM2 Sushi Bonanza going on. Consider I having brunch at Sushi King, lol.

YouTube is really a good platform to discover talented people around the world. Recently I'm attached to the voice of Sam Tsui. Well, I'm first come across Sam when Elvin gave me a link of one of his cover and I'm totally in love with his voice.

Recently, I'm listening to Sam Tsui's cover of "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri. I have listened to the original Christina Perri version on radio over and over again, it just sound like a sad love song for me. However, when I first listen to the Sam Tsui's cover, my tears actually rolling down even though I am playing Angry Bird at that moment. Many past memories flash through my mind, like a documentary. ~~oh ya, of course I fail in the level of Angry birds I'm playing, lol.~~ I must admit that his singing really touches my heart, =). This is how music suppose to be, I guess. The listener get the message of the song through the singer.

Playground

All kids love playground. Kids can have so much fun in the playground that they wouldn't want to leave. I remember that my dad used to bring my sister and I to playground every Sunday. I miss the time when I'm a kid, =P

I brought Tiffany to the Boulevard's playground on Thursday. The playground is built indoor and equipped with air conditioner, a big difference compare to the playground I used to visit in the Reservoir Park. Oh well, little Tiffany had so much fun because she had the whole the playground to herself as there are little visitor on weekday morning.

Tiffany is definitely happy. She love the slide.

Cynthia, Elvin and me went to meet Joyce who was at Damai Puri Resort on 23 December 2010. It was a short but enjoyable trip. I miss the smell of the salty sea and sand so much.

Early Breakfast

I guess after high school, I don't really wake up early to take my breakfast. Since McDonald is having this purchase minimum RM5 and get 2 set of Big Breakfast for free and moreover, I'm unable to fall asleep again for the whole night, so I decided to drove out early in the morning like 5am to buy the breakfast. I left a short note for my dad on the kitchen table in case he found me and my car missing and off, I'm on the road.

Honestly speaking, I think it's my first time to drive out early in the morning. I must say it's a good way to clear my though. I switch off my car's a-c and slide down both the car front window pane and enjoy the morning breeze. No much car is on the road beside mine, I kind of driving very slow and steady without people honk at me. I get return call from Elvin and he is going to meet me up at Mc Donald too =)

When I get home, it was like 6.30am. Dad opened the door for me and I can see the smile on his face. I had my breakfast with my dad and it feels great. It's been a while that both of us having breakfast together. I love you papa!

p/s: I met up with Elvin at McDonald just to buy the breakfast for our family, we don't really eat our breakfast together because I chose to go back to breakfast with my dad since he is heading out for work and I scared that he might leave early. Sorry Elvin, don't mean that you are not important, =P

Ujian MEdSI

For those who apply for ISMP (Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pendidikan)or other education programme offer by local universities, if you fulfil the programme's basic requirement, you will need to sit for a test called Ujian MEdSI.

You can start to check whether you are been selected to sit for the test on 22 April 2011 through MPM website. Mostly those who apply for education programme will need to go for this test on 30 April 2011.

What is MEdSI test about? I sat for it on 2008 and recently many people browse through my blog to search information on it so I'm writting this post to explain on it.

MEdSI test or Ujian MEdSI is kind of a psychology test for me. You'll need to answer 300 questions in 1 hour and 10 minutes. Yup, you see it right, 300 questions, no typo. However, the 300 questions are basicaly a YES or NO question or AGREE or DISAGREE questions. You can answer them very fast and no need worry about having enough time to answer them or not. All the questions are in BM (Bahasa Malaysia).

Below are a few examples:

1) Saya sentiasa cari peluang untuk membina hubungan interpersonal dengan orang.
A. Setuju
B. Tidak Setuju

2) Sekolah adalah bertanggungjawab dengan sebarang tindakan guru.

APLIKASI PERMOHONAN KEMASUKAN KE IPTA LEPASAN STPM / SETARAF SESI AKADEMIK 2011/2012

For those who sat for STPM in 2010, I believed that you have received your result by now. The next step will be applying for IPTA. Please take notes that the application will due on 4 of April 2011 so at the mean time, you have time to figure out the course you want to apply for.

Before start apply for IPTA, make sure you have purchase the UPU code from Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) which cost for RM15.60.

The slip will look like this.

The next step is that you will need to do a little bit of research for the course you wish to apply. You must apply the course according to the CGPA pointer you get in your STPM. For example, if you get the CGPA of 3.0, it's better for you to apply courses which the pointer is close to yours CGPA. You can check the CGPA pointer for most of the courses in IPTA in this website, QuanSheng. However, the CGPA listed in this website is just for reference.

Besides that, you may want to look up for special requirement for certain courses in the UPU website.

After you have done all your research, you can apply for IPTA (for all the IPTA in Malaysia except USM)at UPU Application website.

However, if you wish to apply courses in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), please proceed to USM website to do your application.

I'm back! Pampered myself during the Chinese New Year holiday =) and my next holiday from work will be in June, still long to go!

Anyway, recently I had tried a new skin care sleeping mask that I would like to share. What is a sleeping mask anyway? Well, actually it work like this. Before you sleep, you wash your face clean and you applied the mask on your face and you go to bed with it. There will no washing off needed.

It's the Naruko sleeping mask developed by the famous Taiwan cosmetic dermatologist, Niu Er(牛尔). Honestly speaking, I don't give a damn on skin care product developed in Taiwan because I think they simply wouldn't work.

And I think I'm wrong. After I tried the sleeping mask for 2 days, I can feel a slight different in my skin complexion. My skin is more hydrated and smooth. I hope with the continuous usage, I can improve the uneven skin tone on my face =)

I bought two types of Naruko sleeping masks.

Rose & Snow Fungus Classic Hydrating Night Gelly.
From the sample I tried in the shop, this gelly have a nice smell of roses.
Girls, you will love this!
It is suitable for dry or sensitive skin.
It claims to improve large pores, fine line and dryness of the skin.
I'll try this soon.

Marjoram & Lavender Classic Brightening Night Gelly.
I'm simply wash my face clean and scoop the gelly at a size of two soya beans and massage onto my face and go to bed. There is no washing off needed.
I must say I'm amazed by how fast the product is been absorb into my skin.
The next thing you know, you wake up with
a hydrated and smoother skin complexion!
It claims to improve your skin tone, brightened up and prevent skin aging.

Since the products of Naruko do not add in any preservatives like Parabens, it must be used within 6 months after we open it. I chose to open and use the Marjoram & Lavender Classic Brightening Night Gelly first. This herbal based product is "Cruelty Free" which mean it's not tested on animals.

The mask come in a box and a small spoon.

For most of the skin care or cosmetic products, usually we'll just throw away the boxes after we opened it. Naruko products have made an effort of protecting the earth by inviting the product user to care for our earth. The boxes of Naruko sleeping mask can be made into another useful thing such as a name card holder. By doing so, we reuse the box and not throwing it away!

There is instruction for you to turn the box into a cute name card holder.
I'll definitely try this when I'm free!

If you were to try on the Naruko products, make sure you purchased the genuine product since there are many imitations out there nowadays. It may have adverse effect if you use the imitation products.

I'm always a fan of the CSI drama but the different about CSI and "Sign" is that crime are always solved in CSI and have a happy ending. As in for "Sign", it portraits more truth of the society, there are unsolved cases and hidden truth that cannot be revealed. It was exciting and I can feel my adrenaline hormone pumping up every time I watch it.

And at least this drama is better than other Korean Love story drama =)

I had two small gathering before the Chinese New Year. I had breakfast with Elvin, Andrina, Alvin, Michael, Nicholas and Yong Kit on Saturday morning. Another session was carried out on Sunday night with Flora,Elvin, Joyce, Meldon, Pauline, Michael, Nicholas, Jacky and Louis.

Pineapple tarts are ♥

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Many are busy preparing for the Chinese New Year. Everywhere is jam and crowded. Honestly, I haven't start to bake my cakes and cookies, I'm still busy working and studying at the moment, sigh....

One thing I like about Chinese New Year is pineapple tart! It doesn't mean on normal day we don't have pineapple tarts, just that most of the time, there are more people baking pineapple tarts when Chinese New Year is near!

I received two small containers of pineapple tarts from Elvin's mother and Flora's mama. Thanks Aunties! =))

Survival Korean

Yesterday I went to Times Bookstore at Hills Mall hoping that I can buy book about Korean language to help me in my learning. Apparently, the bookstore had stocked up their language books! *Happy* This is because the last time I went there, they didn't have any book for the Korean language.

After I skimmed through some of the books, I have decided to purchase "Survival Korean". It's a small pocket size book that provide the most important Korean words and phrases, helping the learner to learn more words and phrases and speak them without fear or fuss.

Well, there is a story behind why I chose this book.My friend told me that her sister and she traveled to South Korea few years back during winter season. When doing some shopping at the shopping mall, suddenly, nature is calling her sister. They quickly go and ask the sale assistants in the mall for the direction to washroom/ toilet but they did not understand what they talking about since my friends were speaking in English. In the end, because my friend's sister couldn't hold anymore, she show the sale assistant the peeing action and luckily they finally know what she want and show them the way to toilet. After they came out from the toilet, they just learn that washroom/ toilet in Korean is "Hwajangsil" (화장실).

Hence, I think that it's kind of important to know this phrase:

"Hwajangsil eodi isseoyo?" (pronounce as hwa-jahng-sheel ohdi itsoyo, written 화장실 어디 있어요?)
which mean where is the toilet?

In case nature is calling you when you are somewhere in Korea, you can ask the locals, "Hwajangsil eodi isseoyo?" =)

Here I Am

Yes, I'm definitely in love with Korean Language! I finally can read all those Korean Hangul. I'm able to change them into romans and read them. I'm hoping that I will be more familiar with those Hangul so that next time I can read them out directly without writing them in romans.

I had done some practice by changing the Hangul into romans for a Korean song in "Secret Garden", namely "Here I Am" by 4men. It's fun when you are learning and doing something that you like.

Practice in my little note book.

As for my next target, I plan to start learning some simple Korean phrases. This will take a longer time since there are so much phrases to learn and understand =))

Dream High

I'm currently watching another Korean drama "Dream High".

It is a drama about six students at Kirin Art High School work to achieve their dreams of becoming stars. Students at an arts and entertainment school mature as they face incidents and struggles. Besides all the singing, dancing, and acting, it also shows the true side of the entertainment industry.

"Dream High" starring Kim Soo Hyun, Taecyeon (2pm), Wooyoung(2pm), Ham Eun Jung(T-ARA), Suzy(miss A), IU

So far I follow the drama until episode 6. It is a good drama in motivating youths. Face challenges in your life and learn how to overcome them.

Tomorrow is Saturday! I tends to get excited when it come to weekends =)

Anyway, speaking of first movie to watch in 2011, for me it will be definitely "The Green Hornet" a.k.a. 青蜂侠.

The Green Hornet starring by Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Christoph Waltz & Cameron Diaz.

Although I'm not really a die-hard fan of Jay Chou, I still wish to see his action in this movie. I wonder how he sound like when he speak English as he is not that good when it come to English as reported in the news.

I had watched the trailer of this movie and I think it'll be a hilarious action movie too, just the right one to put some laughter in my life!

I guess I have to wait until 27 January 2011 then. I hope that "The Green Hornet" will be a great movie. And I'm gonna watch it in 3D if the MBO cinema do show it in 3D =))

To-do-list of 2011

2011 definitely is a difficult year for me. I'm facing lots of problem even though it's just January!

I made a "To-do-list" of 2011, hopefully I'm able to complete it despite all the obstacle I'm having now.

Spend more time with my loved one especially my parents.

Get in the Dean list for a continuous 3 semesters with a cgpa of 3.7 above.

Put more and more effort in teaching and helping the students in their studies.
Bring my parents to travel. Cover all the expenses for the trip, I just want them to enjoy!

Learn Korean language. At least I'm able to speak and write simple Korean words.

And I start my first step in learning Korean Language.
I made my own printable worksheets on the Hangul Consonants and Vowels.
Practice makes perfect!

Oh dear, I must admit that I'm crazy about Korean dramas. I can sit in front of the computer for whole day just to watch those drama, haha. Yeah, I know it's unhealthy to do so but I'm addicted to them!

Let see some of the Korean drama that I watched/ing...

This drama was nice to watch in the beginning but started to become dull and boring near the end. Anyway, I still love to watch the handsome Jang Geun Suk, haha!

Shopping and foods ~~again~~ on the second day of 2011. Elvin and I went to the Spring to walk around. He shopped for extra office wear since he will be going for his internship tomorrow, all the best ya. On the other hand, I bought some clothe and accessories from Padini.

We went for dinner at 鲜定味 Taiwanese Tea Room which just open for few days. That's what Kuchingites love to do, always dine at a new place. ~~kiasu ba~~

I must say I love the food there despite the not-so-attentive service. I hope that they will improve their service since they did charged a 10% service charge at the bill.

There are lots of set meal on the menu and all of them looks delicious. I ordered the recommended set meal sweet and sour pork （糖醋咕咾肉）and ice green tea with plum （酸梅茉莉绿茶）. Elvin ordered the set meal of salty crisp chicken（台湾咸酥鸡）and passion fruit earl grey (百香伯爵茶）.

Elvin said it was unfair because his meal come rice with black sesame on top but mine was with braised pork, lol.

Well for me, this salty crisp chicken（台湾咸酥鸡）taste better than 士林鸡排 at Tun Jugah, lol. Kind of like they fried the chicken and sprinkled some Mamee seasoning powder on it.

Done with dinner and we head to Hills Mall. The shopping continues! I bought a pant and a cardigan from MNG and I promised not to buy anything for the next two weeks, lol. I went to Times Bookstore to search for books but ended up with disappointment. I wonder why most of the bookstore selling the Japanese language books but not the Korean one. I want to learn to write and speak in Korean!

We went to Riverside Parkson and One Jaya before going home. I must say I'm tired and I fall asleep. Don't worry, I'm not the one driving and which is something good when you have someone to be your driver, lol.

And I shall called it a day! Start working tomorrow! Go Go Go, fighting!!

First day of my 2011 was full of laughters and joy.

I had a small BBQ party at my house with my family and relatives.

It was fun, I truly appreciate and enjoy the moments I spent with my love ones. Moreover, there were lots of delicious foods!

Miri do have delicious food. My cousin Amy owned a cafe which sell delicious local food but at an affordable price =D. The cafe is known as 昌记，turn into Jalan Allamanda from Jalan Riam when you see Institut Teknologi Riam (a secondary school).

Conclusion, I miss Miri. I can see that my mum kind of sad to leave Miri, the place she grown up and where her papa lived. Anyway, I'll visit Miri soon, as my relatives are there!

Kombucha 红茶菌

Recently a friend of my dad introduce to him about this Kombucha a.k.a. 红茶菌. Even since then, my dad is so into the making of Kombucha himself. According to those who drink Kombucha, this drink can cure some illness especially like gastritis , joints ache and constipation.

I searched the Internet for this Kombucha and found out that indeed it is so popular even in the Western countries. Well, let me summaries what is this overwhelming Kombucha is about.

Kombucha actually is a type of fermented tea which can be made at home. It often drink for some medicinal purposes. What you need is a glass jar, tea and the "mushroom" or SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast). You can use any tea, e.g. black or green tea to make this Kombucha.

For my dad whom made his first jar of Kombucha, he used the Japanese green tea. He poured the cold green tea in the glass jar, add in some sugar and the "mushroom" given by his friend. Then he covered the glass jar with a piece of cloth to prevent the flies to lay eggs and at the same time let the bacteria and yeast have some air to carry out fermentation. My dad put the glass jar in cold and shady place for 14 days for the fermentation of the tea.

After 14 days, my dad harvested his first Kombucha =).

The daughter mushroom formed cover the surface of the Kombucha after 14 days of fermentation.

The lower brown colour "mushroom" was given by my dad's friend and it produced a daughter layer of "mushroom" on top of it.

The thickness of the mushroom. the longer the time you fermented, the thicker is the mushroom. However, the shape of the daughter mushroom follow the shape of your container. If you use a square glass jar, then u get a square daughter mushroom.

New daughter mushroom which can be use for the next fermentation. For safety purpose, once the mushroom turned brown, it's better to change it.

As for the fermented tea, it smell slightly sour with a scene of alcohol. I don't really dare to drink it yet so I have no comment on the taste. However, acording to my dad, it's tasteless and taste better with little honey added and served chilled. Perhaps I'll try it and blog about it next time.

躺在床上,很累,但是又睡不着,

一年365天,可以说300天的夜晚,我都是失眠的。
这个经验,我想大概就没几个人有吧。(除非你和我一样,都有失眠症)

什么数绵羊的烂方法,都是戏里骗小孩子的,一点都没效。

我只能说,漫漫长夜,
难熬啊!

Brazil Longan updated

Brazil Longan a.k.a. Brazilian Longan is getting popular nowadays. I heard that people selling them at high price at Sarikei and Sibu.

So, what is this longan anyway? Well, Brazil longan is much biggger than the regular longan. Its coat remains green in colour even after the fruit has ripen. The flesh is thick and it taste like lychee+longan. I wonder whether it is a hybrid of lychee and longan or not. Not much information can be found in the internet yet because it is kind of something new.

Look at the size, it is around 5cm in diameter, some are even bigger than this. This is tha average size of the longan.

Thick flesh that taste like lychee+longan. very chewy.

Anyway, you need to drink lots of water if you eat this. You may get sore throat if you eat too much ~~because they are simply irresistible~~

Borneo Highlands

# Finally I'm free! I had been working 7 days a week since July and now I have sometime to rest before I start to busy again in few weeks time.#

I went to Borneo Highlands Resort last Saturday like finally. Elvin, mum and baby Tiffany joined the trip as well. Overall, I rated the trip as 3.5 out of 5 for the trip.

It took me almost 1 hour and 30 minutes to drive from my house to the foothill of Borneo Highland Resort. You will need to turn in at Padawan traffic light and drive a distance of 40 km before you reach the foothill.

We bought the return transport ticket at a price of RM30 for each adult since now they are having the Colours of Nature Event. We also top up another RM20 each for the tour to Kalimantan Border View point and the nursery.

On the way up to the highlands. Don't recommend you to drive up because the road is so stiff and twisted.

Ya, I know, June has ended two weeks ago and now is July! Finally I have some time to update my blog. June was great for me. Despite of the busy schedule of works and exam, I'm able to have some fun and hang out with friends and family. I don't know about others, but I usually celebrate my birthday for the WHOLE MONTH =)

Not forgetting I bought the cute contact lens case online, so convenient when I'm on the go.

My after-eye was sexier than the before-eye, but the size remain the same.

Elvin, my mum and Tiffany went to Damai Puri with me for the one day trip.

When different people looking at this photo, they have different opinions about the direction the girl is turning!

If you look at it and it seem like the girl is turning clockwise,
this mean you use your right brain more than your left brain!

On the other hand, if you see the girl turning in anticlockwise,
this mean you use your left brain more often!

In most people view, the girl is turning anticlockwise.
Most female will see the girl turning clockwise than male.

May is here! Time do flies, People! May is another challenging month for me because I gonna start my third semester. My friends are back to Kuching around this time and I do want to plan some serious outing soon. Beach?

Anyway, I did something that kind of new recently. I somehow got the nerve to ~~cut~~ change my hairstyle. For friends who know me, I hardly go and do fussy thing with my hair even since they knew me. I'm afraid to change I guess.

So, this is it. Tada~

Today is just a typical day in April. I finally done with my final examination for Semester 2 two days ago and here I'm! With some blogging mood turn on!

My psychologist once asked me what is the thing I want to do the most in my life. I told him that if possible, I want to travel around the world, alone. I want to expose myself to other's culture and gain life experiences. I need freedom. I don't want to worry about anything but just have fun in my life. I know it sound so selfish =P

Bear with me because I may sound bored to you in this post, haha.

The places I wish to travel must have the following characteristics: (random order though)

That place must have a lot of flowers!
I love flowers especially brightly colour ones!
Tulips is one of my favorite.

I used to imagine that I laying down in the beds of tulips whenever I'm stressed up.
Laying down while starring at the blue sky with cotton-wool-like clouds.

I would love to have an afternoon tea in a rose garden as well.
Sipping my jasmine white monkey tea while reading my favorite book.
Life is beautiful.

Do you like castles? I love castle ~~but the the haunted one please~~.
Imagine myself riding on the horse around the castle boost up my dopamine immediately.
Castle are ♥.

Beach with cliffs!
I once dreamed I jump from the cliff and dive into the sea.
It was so thrilling!
Ironically, I found myself fall down from my bed in the morning.
I think I watch too much Twilight.
I neither can swim nor dive.

Since I can't swim or dive, snorkeling will be the best solution.
Snorkel with a life jacket on me, lolz.
I want to see those beautiful sea creatures swim around me but please don't bite me.

I want to sit and wait for the train to come while having a cup of caramel macchiato.
I love train because I watched too much Harry Potter movie =D

Last but not least, I wish I can travel to witness a volcano eruption.
People are so fragile when compare to the volcano.

DBKU had built an Orchid Garden beside Astana and the new DUN building. Seriously, the orchid garden is not bad at all. I went there two weeks ago with my family. My mum is an orchids fan and she is so happy looking at the orchids. So I guess this is count as one of her birthday pre-celebration, haha.

And as for today, my sister and I brought my parents and grandpa for a dinner as the pre-celebration of my mum birthday. We ordered some simple dish and did enjoy our night a lot! There is nothing more valuable and precise than spending time with your family =)

Bilin. not delicious at all. A disappointed dish by the cook.

Yam basket with mixed vegetables! 5 stars! All my family member love this.

Boneless pork rib with sweet sour sauce. Delicious.

Venison with ginger and spring onion. Too oily for me.

Butter prawn! yum yum.

And we went home with extra kilos of weight =)
